Product Support Specialist

The essential duties of the position include:

Provide specialized product support to customers; communicate directly with customers regarding support and technical issue resolution and workarounds via E-Mail, phone and other electronic medium
Diagnose and resolve software, user, and system issues; devise viable solutions and workarounds for customer
Coordinate all activities pertaining to problem identification and resolution, while controlling customer expectations
Provide professional technical support to clients emphasizing customer service

Assist with creation, activation & setup of new MDE accounts
Assist with configuration of client's equipment to the optimal settings for use with MDE’s products

Provide online training to clients in the use of the MDE system
Review products and procedures; keep up to date with, and inform current users of new product developments and updates

Develop an understanding of common problems and provide immediate solutions
Monitor customer usage reports to ensure strong customer experience as well proactive, early issue identification

Assist with special projects as required
Document as appropriate all above tasks - keep records of calls made, problems reported, troubleshooting steps and solution details
Update MDE team on a regular basis regarding support issues


Qualified candidates will have:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience a plus
1-2 years of dental office experience a plus
Excellent communicator and team player
Excellent organizational and project management abilities
Familiarity with healthcare management/processes a plus
Advance level working knowledge of all Microsoft products
Proven analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills

Senior Technical Operations Specialist

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring a stable production environment is maintained.  Oversees and coordinates change management. Provides input and support to client implementation, account management, tracking and expediting Payer and Partner connectivity. Leads in Analysis of clearinghouse applications issues to ensure efficient corrective action is taken.

Description of Work


Support the entire front and back end web processing system including monitoring, creating upgrade requests (BRD) and creating training materials for our internal staff
• Research and troubleshoot issues as they arise in production using logs, SQL queries, archived 837, 835, 270, 271, 276, 277, 997 files and system knowledge
• Help plan and manage code deployments to production
• Assist in planning and managing scheduled production outages
• Independently determine areas for improvement and the potential for new tools within the business to better support clients and internal teams
• Design new tools and processes and work with necessary teams to implement changes from the drafting phase through production implementation
• Work to bring various areas and levels of the organization together for cross-departmental projects
• Assist team lead as requested to handle external issues with individual payers as well as internal issues between production control team and other departments

• Identify system and work-flow issues and develop solutions through change in processes, upgrades to the system, providing training, and/or creating new back-end functionality
• Create training materials and perform training classes for operations and support departments
• Work with development team to create/reviewing business requirements document, clarifying the function design specifications and verifying the technical design specifications to ensure new projects are completed to meet long-term business, client, support and production control needs

• Test changes to the internal systems that are requested by production control as well as assist QA in understanding table and infrastructure to help them be successful within their own roles

Analyzes problems with clearinghouse applications to identify problem area(s) and recommend corrective action. Recommend and manage solutions to customer application questions. May utilize specialized domain expertise related to the specific application of the software to resolve customer problems.

The essential duties of the position include:

• Provide account management of Payer and Partner connectivity to the MDE clearinghouse.
